As much as they try to convince people that they are doing it to their best, some of these cats fail to standout as rhyme champions. You can tell by how many of them change the direction of their concepts in their various songs. One may start with a nice concept but because they want to fit in as many rhyming words as they can they end up getting trash into their work hence making their work unprofessional.
Gud Fly has been in the game for years now and if you have ever listened to his songs am sure you can tell that he is a great storyteller and a rhymer as well. When he tells a story in his songs he normally dont change the subject, he sticks to it no matter how many rhymes he fits in his lines.
To him playing with words is no big deal but it takes one's creativity and then connecting that skill to the real world in a very orderly manner. It might be fictional but a great deal of creativity in your lyrics would make it one of the kind and it would be very hard to doubt a word from it. These same lyrics will for sure show how your mind can visualize stuff and then create moods with different feelings to your listeners. If you do it in a nice way your music will always standout as one of the best that has ever been.
"Being creative whether fictional or not is where you look at all those things and then see your target then realize how your creativity will impact them" said Gud Fly
"To say the truth real writers will never concentrate on rhyme, when sketching you need to write down your pad words as they come. When done you start rearranging and then maybe fit in some rhymes where it is necessary to do so" he added.
Gud Fly believes too much rhyming when done in a wrong way would lead you out of your own sweet concept. He believes in telling a story just the way people can easily understand and follow very well. He also believe that if you want rhyming words its better to make them evolve around your concept otherwise dont try rhyming without a reason.
When asked of a percentage he would give to Malawian rappers, the zichepe hitmaker said only a 20% would be enough just considering those who made it in the game and believes there is a much better percentage when you consider writers behind the scene. He has quiet a knowledgeable understanding and feeling that there are songwriters out there who are way much better than most of the common names we know in the game.
We also asked this star on the matter of diss music and what he said was quiet understandable and hard to argue with. He indicated that diss music can help both parties involved in different ways, if only Malawi had a great music industry there would be massive sales of the outcomes and there would also be an extra way to stay active in the game.
"Hahaha you know diss music is quiet interesting, its great. It can really help you up your game, the only problem here in Malawi is that we dont have a reliable industry but look at our friends, when there is a verbal war they make alot of sales. And as for me, i would love it if i were dissed by a dope rapper because i would totally defend my lane and perhaps people would see how better off i am than them." he said
Recently Gud Fly and Trap Squad have been at each others necks like nobody's business, when asked about it Gud Fly said the squad just talks but never walk and that they are no match to him.
"Trap Squad? hahaha am even shocked most of the times when they update stupid statuses on facebook. They can bitch on social media all day but if they take it on to the studio they just crumble. They aint no match to me" said the naughty Gud Fly.
