Emperor Kay & PIG to drop life we ah livin hit single

Photo: be on the look out

Positive music is what people need to give an ear to, most artist will never get it straight just because they are filled up with pride and little knowledge of what people want. Others got that special ability to drop music with rich lyrical content that will impress a massive pack of music lovers.

Next week, two Malawian dancehall killers Emperor Kay and PIG will release a song titled Life we ah livin. The song talks of general life where we see others rich and others poor, why others eat in abundance and throw away remains while others in the same neighbourhood sleep with no food.

The song will be available for downloads on the same day and we will give you links as soon as its release time comes.

There is no music industry in malawi, go to school and get a paper; Bigue Map

Renowned Mzuzu based beatmaker Walue Munthali aka Bigue Map sput  fire last week on twitter and facebook to most musicians in Malawi. The beatmaker said that music in Malawi shouldnt be taken as a career but rather it should just be taken as a hobby or just a simple talent as there is no industry in the country.

Bigue made it clear comparing Malawi to other countries like Ghana and South Africa to mention just a few, that these countries have industries. He said musicians get paid and they benefit alot from sales of either albums or singles. On the other hand Malawi has no reliable record label that one can point out and say musicians get a better and greener pasture in relation to their talents.

He added on saying that its only during shows that one gets a little dough, so Malawians shouldnt put much of their effort in music and sideline other important things like school. To him the best investment is education. Once educated and you got a paper its even much easier for you to do anything at any point in life.

" I wonder why a bunch of Malawians forget about school and venture into music as a career when they know it very well that it aint gonna pay them that much. Im not saying that they shouldnt do music, no!! all am saying is they must realise that there is no music industry here so if they wanna make it big in life they better start switching their minds towards education. I think my point is clear on that.... got none to say. The music is great though, no doubt about that" said Bigue Map in an interview with Topview Updates Malawi

Ndizamgogoda Video gone viral

King Chambiecco is one of Malawi`s top notch artists, he has a very unique way of delivering his messages in music. The Kasungu based artist has his own style, a style loved by both the youth and the elderly. His music touches everyone in the society, thats what we call reality music, positive messages and positive response from people.

He has released a couple of great songs and they are enjoying massive airplay on the country`s well known radio stations and of course in many drinking joints and during parties. People enjoy his music because the tunes are danceable, they carry a rich lyrical content plus the production itself is always a masterpiece of the art. By listening to or watching his music, one can tell that King Chambiecco AKA Zam`bongo takes his time in composing and planning the projects as a whole.

Recently he has just released Ndizam`gogoda video which has just gone wild so far. Its one of the kind video that will get your eyes glued to your tv sets or laptops watching it over and over again. Joe Films shot the video and without any doubt Malawi is going higher and higher with film makers like him.

Chambiecco said this 2015 is a year his fans will go deeper into his musical chambers, its time they have to sit back relax and enjoy what the "kawiri katatu pachimkwezamawu" king has to offer. Right now he`s working on a mixtape and an album but he refused to give out more information as it will be a surprise package for this year. Chambiecco also added that there will be a bunch of shows just special for his beloved fans all year long and that they gotta be prepared for them. More details on the album and mixtape will be given when the release dates are set.

Poetry: I`ve Lived by Tee Malawian

Now I can walk with pride. Take a few steps and turn back with might. For i know I've made a history in a cycle of life. And turning injustice with right.
Even if am gone, they will know that i lived For my life story is written and read. And the lives of children are made And millions of broken hearts are mend
They will remember me and smile. For I've walked with them an extra mile. Holding their faces in pain. And my memory will not fade.
Remember me when am gone. Take over where I have left undone. Smile when am covered in a grave earth, For death is just the beginning of life.

From Dj Scarpper to Vj Scarpper?

Entertainment is one thing that keeps the world go round, its one element that makes like go as smooth as butter, as soft as a girl`s cheek. For entertainment to be there, there is a lot of people that must play a role to keep it in its needed shape. One of these key players is Vj Scarpper (formerly known as dj scarpper)

Scarpper has recently changed from being a dj to being a vj and we had a little chat with him as he explains his journey in the entertainment circles which he`s been around for about 16years now. He is one of those bonafide stars, undisputed talent and passion within him, you just cant argue with facts. As a dj, Scarpper was known with his master skills because wherever he had to mix whether on a party or any kind of function nobody ever felt down with his services. Call him Malawi`s number one.

To him his life is meant to entertain people and to keep smiles on their faces, there is no harm in him, all that's in him is love, joy and all sorts of happiness creating elements. Allah never created an enemy in him. Rather He created a friend, a family man and a brother to everybody in this wonderful man. As long as he has to keep entertaining he will always bring out something different, something adorable and something magical. The change to Vj Scarpper is one of the steps to a different side of his entertaining skills.

Looking at how djs, vjs, poets, musicians, comedians and all kinds of entertainers do their work to keep laughter on every Malawian Scarpper worries on how they get paid back. In other countries these kind of people earn alot in this business, but Malawians dont really respect and appreciate their works. Scarpper would love to see any kind of event a win win situation between them and their audience. The audience should get entertained and in return the entertainers should also get their satisfying cut from them. They should be respected, supported and well paid so as to keep them motivated and inspired to explore many ways of keeping Malawians blessed with entertainment. Why should Malawians pay K1000.00 for a Malawian Dj and K5000.00 for a Dj from some other country? Is that even fair?

He also showed his heartfelt disappointment looking at how other people look at most of  the entertainers in Malawi. He wonders why they are taken as lost people, worst kinds of people. They are taken as immoral people, to him for sure there are such people from all corners of life and yes most of the times it is entertainers who gets on the surface as immoral. But to face the truth Scarpper said entertainers look like that because they are public figures and every little detail about them is easily known to the public, common people may be more than immoral but because they are not famous the things they do are not known to the public. To him not all entertainers are junk, and not all common people are junk too so it shouldn't be a case that entertainers are immoral. A person`s heart is what determines what they are, nobody should just come out of the blue and judge, let Allah  alone  be the judge of that.

Its high time Malawians should learn to respect what other people do, we cant all go to college and study accounting. Who will be a mechanic? who will be a soldier? who will be a constructor? who will be a journalist? a video jockey? a radio presenter? a carpenter? Everybody got their own relevance in life, can you live without an engineer? a builder? a doctor? an entertainer? so stop thinking nuts and learn to appreciate what others do.... we have a saying here in Malawi that says "uzadya thukuta lako" thats taken from the Bible and without your toil and sweat... you wont enjoy a dime. Get a life.

Knowing that a man shall survive on his own sweat, Scarpper keeps sweating and grinding hard, he is leaving no stone unturned. All he does is find a way to keep people entertained and in doing so he gets his pie hence keeping his life going. This time around he has teamed up with Cinema, they have organised a massive show on 14th February the valentines day for lovers to enjoy. Many activities will take place on this day and to check out the fully programmed fixture click here .

On this day, Scarpper`s family that is everybody who will be there should expect something magical as he will be mixing videos in a very professional way. In a way that everyone will be impressed and that everybody wont feel like letting go of the day, you will wish to be stuck in the day for the rest of your lovely life.

This Vj Scarpper has a lot to give, believe it without an inch of doubt. He will give you what you really need at that particular time, in a way you never expected. Do you know he`s a wonderful musician as well? If you didnt know then you must know from this day on, soon enough he will be releasing his song (audio plus video) titled ine hater. He is not a selfish man, he believes in sharing what he has, so right now he is having a wonderful student dj. The only female dj in the country, Dj Patra. She will also be there on the day of the show including Starnaz, Smallton and Foxxy.

Wakisa James to drop a love note, a must have track to all lovers

Love.... that four lettered word, a word that gives others tears of joy, a word that breaks others hearts, a word that takes away other peoples hope, a word taken as good a word taken as bad. It all depends on how you treat it, on how you receive it and on how you give it. What is love to you? have you ever loved? have you ever been loved? do you wanna love? how best can you explain love? it all depends on what your heart holds and the content of your mind.

Wakisa James, known by his golden voice in dancehall and reggae has come with yet another turn, an R n B tune, a love tune dropping on the 9th February 2015. The song is titled good time and for sure you are assured of some mature lyrics from someone like him. In this song there is a touch of reality, not fiction. You can drop a tear if you are an intimate lover, its so romantic and hopefully you would want to listen to the song a couple of times before you skip to another song.

A number of well known radio stations will premier the song  on the same day including MBC Radio 2, Power 101, Mzimba Radio and many more. For those who would love downloading this hot tune it will be online for free downloads starting from the 14th February 2015, this will be like a gift to all lovers across the nation as it is valentines day on this day.

Malawi`s reggae sensation Royview to drop his last album dubbed the last drop in April

Lilongwe based reggae star Royview commonly known with his soft intro "Roy again, again and again" is finally set to release his much awaited album dubbed The Last Drop. The Last Drop is Roy`s last album and was supposed to be released last year in December, due to some personal commitments he failed to do so but now he is sure that its gonna be out in April.

In an exclusive interview with Topview Updates Roy made it very clear that this time around there is nothing that is to delay the release. He said everything is going according to plan and that distribution of the album *which is free* is gonna be done by himself on CDs and on the Internet. To him The Gospel is meant to be spread not to be sold, he says one is not supposed to make a living through The Gospel of The Lord. One is supposed to preach the good news to the people, they have to reach out to both young and old, rich and poor. Financial problems shouldnt deprive a person of the good news because its a necessity and they deserve it.

This whole album has sincerely been dedicated to The Mighty Lord as He has been good to him, he has seen a massive flow of blessings despite failing God in many ways in his life. He also dedicate it to his royal and humble family for the love and care showered on him since the day he was born and also to his beloved fans all across the nation.

The album is to carry a soothing package of 13songs of which 4 have already been released (mphamvu yanu ft Blaze, history, the last song ft Java and fly away. Trumel is also featured in the album and will appear on a song tittled nthunzi. Other artists like Sangie, Saint,Catalia, Miss T (rapper) and many more will also appear on this album. Be ready to get your own copy because its gonna take you from one spiritual level to another..... be open to the word of God. This album will be a Reggae/Dancehall cream hence will be produced by notable producers like Tkmore, Trumel and Don Foxxy to mention just a few.

Asked on why he chose this to be his last album Roy said that the fact that its his last album it doesnt mean that he is quitting music. To him he has seen that albums in Malawi do not make an impressive impact and that has made him think of dropping singles after the album. Only singles and a couple of videos will do him good rather than compiling a collection of nice music in an album and making it a waste. He added on saying that people shouldnt expect any negative change but rather a very much positive change as he has a great package special for them. A package of the same Roy they know, a package of wonderful music.

Roy feels great knowing that there are some people out there who gets inspired by him through his music, that makes him sit back and thank God for using him to get into other peoples hearts and activate an inch of happiness and joy in them. Though he invest much and get too little Roy still thanks God for taking good care of him and giving him the right words to spit on a microphone every time he goes into the booth.

He urges fans and people in general to support artists with all their hears, he also thanks his fans for being by his side all the way from the dawn of his career. To his fellow artist he urges them to atleast compose songs with a positive image, songs that will not choose a certain type of people, songs that will move hearts of every listener out there for the best.

"To all my fans i just wanna say thanks for your support, i love you so much. There is no Royview without you, without your support i might have a million songs but there wont be anyone to appreciate my talent, no one can get the messages i try to send out and no one to be entertained" said Roy.

"I also wanna take this opportunity to advise all those people along the shores to move out of there and atleast find better places because it feels bad to hear of floods making them homeless and infact taking lives away. I must admit i really feel sad to see it happening...... may the souls of all the deceased due to floods rest in eternal peace and may God comfort all those victims" he added.
