Rootsman is a reggae star based in balaka, he joined the music community in september 2009 and it really has been a nice ride ever since. Bob Marley and Morgan Heritage are the international artists that inspired this young man to go into reggae. Locally he was taken up high by the Mighty Ivory Band of balaka.
To reach out to both the youth and elderly is his desire and he says come in two years time he will sit back and say mission accomplished.
Together with his friends in balaka rootsman created the sunset crew which started with four members but now with seven. They have shot a video tittled tipange business a while ago and now they are workin on another tittled ndikovuta
Chippie Chiand is another reggae dancehall sensation based in the capital city lilongwe. The boy has jumped on several riddims by warge records and tk more. His hit single waloladi has taken many by surprise as its just something very creative. He has worked with trigga, munandi and many more in lilongwe.
Chippie is planning of shooting the waloladi hit which talks of a man who never thought a girl would love him for who he is. All he thought was all girls would want to fall in love with a playa or some richman`s son, but he got it all wrong when this beautiful lady accepted his proposal.
Rayceian is a mzuzu based rapper, this boy got skills that can make you appreciate and realize what malawi is holding in the ghettos. He has worked with guys like Cliffdaddy, Lady Pace, Carbon, Strigga, and many more from the city. Rayce together with Xander and Skylight formed a clique known as Mijavi boys and seriously these boys are doing it big.
