Christian hiphop rocks says Prefix, Matt Da Protege and Thamzy

When you wake up in the morning, whats the first word that you say? Whats the first thing you do? Are you happy with what you say or do? Is it a good thing? Do you remember the life giver in everything that you do?  Well if you dont remember him then you better start thinking about it and do something.

We are all human beings and we all were created by one God, that makes us all equal. If we all are equal it means we all have common responsibilities and the most common one is loving one another. If you love someone you woulddnt do anything to hurt them, rather you will make sure you do something that is always the best for them. What can you really do for someone you love? Buy them a car? How important is a car? or any material thing? If you love someone you would do something that will last forever, share with them what they need not what they want.

One best thing you can share with the ones you love is the word of God, the word which will comfort any soul, the word which will strengthen any weak mind. There are many ways you can share that word of God, it doesnt mean you have to be a pastor to something like that. You can be a poet and yet still you can share the word of God. You can be a graphic designer, a musician, an actor, a writer etc and still you can preach the word of God in that very best thing that you are capable of doing.

Prefix, Matt Da Protege and Thamzy are nothing but simple rappers, they preach the gospel of the Lord through their music. If they can do it, what then can stop you from doing the same with your own talent? Am sure there are many talented people out there who are misusing their talents. That talent was given to you free of charge, cant you do something in return to say THANK YOU GOD??

Dont be ashamed of the Gospel, thats life. Wake up, shine your eyes and praise The Lord. These three rappers believe in making songs about what they really have, things like life, love, salvation and grace. Whats the point of rapping about guns when you have never touched one? Whats the point of rapping about millions when you know they wont buy you any happiness? Think about it, why compose songs that are way far from reality?  Look on the bright side and make some clean music, music for all ages. Reach out and touch every soul out there whether an old man or a teenager make their hearts agree and sing along to your music.

Topview Updates had an interview with the three rappers and they both had one thing to say that is "put God first in everything that you do". To them Christian Hiphop rocks, they believe they can preach without any fear as they know The Lord is their only shield. They call upon everyone out there to use their talents for good because that makes The Lord happy.

Whats new and who`s new?: Dmus Tha Sting

Dmus tha sting is a Blantyre based Malawian upcoming artist who`s been active for only two years. Born Peter Ndamata at QUECH on 25 July 1997 this boy chose rap as his destiny. A day spent without a paper and a pen for lyrics is a waste to him, all he wanna do is compose, freestyle and battle. Music makes his days and He cant stay without a taste of an instrumental.

He is working hard so that one day Malawi can see what a great rapper he is, and he swore he wont rest until his dreams come true. As a newbie this boy needs your support, give an ear to his music and comment on his strengths and weaknesses. We all need a piece of encouragement and advice, no man is an island.

Dmus has a couple of recorded songs and some to be recorded as well and hopes you download some of his songs  to check him out. He has just released usadzalore ft san c and blesskiss  and he is supposed to drop another track titled Amazimva sugar which ofcourse is a diss to girls who are there just playing around just because they think they are way much more beautiful than others.

His advice to his fellow upcoming artists is to really take their time when composing songs. He also would love it if they stop downloading  instrumentals and start believing in Malawian producers so as to have that originality in their music and he believes it can be awesome if artists across Malawi would work together as one to promote the urban music in our country.

Is it year of the mic or its just the movement?

Have you ever had time to examine and judge between two things? Have you ever tried to choose what`s the best between two great things? Have you maybe tried to see the difference between some common thing and one rare thing? Well if you havent please find time and do so, you will see that one thing cant be better than the other just because its been there for a couple of years than the other but because it deserves to be better. Am saying this because lately i have had my time examining our own veteran musicians and these upcomings. From what i see, there are many upcoming musicians who are way much better than these other common dudes we know, that observation made me realise that talent is something given by God the creator Himself and not that we just find it at some place and pick it up.

Malawi has a bunch of both talented and whack musicians regardless of how famous they are. Talent beats any age, a 10year old boy can surely astonish you with a sensational skill than a 30year old man, thats how it goes. Talent is something you dont have to force, its something that has to drive you at its own pace. One of the guys who lets talent do its work than forcing matters is Uniq Mic, this guy is awesome.

Uniq believes in making a name on his own, he dont want someone later standing on top and shouting on top of their voices saying "i made that kid a star with a collabo". He believe that  working with his fellow upcoming artists is way much better than with a celebrity. If it is a celebrity then it better be them asking him for a collabo just because he`s made an impression on them not him asking for a collabo for fame`s sake.

This skillfull young man has what it takes to be on top of the game, believe me. He is just way multi talented, he can jump on any track. Be it dancehall, reggae, hiphop or r&b you name it, give him a chorus he is going to do it and you wont believe he just did it. Give him a verse and you will be surprised by the way he can spit his game.

Uniq grew up feeding his ears with most of Eminem and Jay z`s tracks, that gave him alittle bit of a boost to bring his own heat to the game. Now he is doing it big and he feels its time for him to rise to his rightful place, a place where he belongs. You might be wondering what place he is talking about, but surely he belongs in the league of classic musicians, in the very best of  M-Dubs finest deals. To him music is just one of the priorities that makes his life go smooth as he gets the chance to connect with a lot of people including those he`s worked with (Rayfane, Tsar Leo, Venom, Tidacase, Young LT, An-Ro, C-Triz, Selph Dfence,D-Rain,Donzo, Blessed B,Mic Mash and the late D-Train to mention just a few).

Commenting on the status of Malawian urban music, Uniq believes that its moving forward. He sees that there is some real golden talent hidden in the ghettos which only needs an extra ear and an extra eye to be recognised. There are a bunch of problems he can see in the urban music industry but the only problem that  gives him a headache is that of everyone trying to be an artist when they dont have the talent. He thinks it would be nice if one accepts what they can manage rather than forcing themselves to fit in a place they dont belong.

"Everybody has a role to play, we have listeners, djs, promoters, record companies, fans etc..... if we all try to be artists then who will be there to listen to us? who will be there to sell the music? we need everybody doing their jobs, take critics for example... they make someone realise where there is need for improvement or so." said Uniq

"I believe this is my year, my time to rise thats why soon enough i will be releasing a mixtape. Im not yet sure if i have to dub it "The year of the Mic" or "The movement" as suggested by one of my fans and a very best friend of mine. But we will see the way forward, am gonna have to do this. Shout out to my man Rayfane and Venom these guys rock, they have helped me alot as i evolved and ofcourse my brother and mentor he is just the best i got " He added

We will update you more on his upcoming projects, and as of now he has just released a brand new tune titled forever ft Tidacase which can be downloaded here

Where is yagwa top 15 chart?

Image result for yagwa top 15 on galaxy fm

For a radio station to win peoples hearts, it has to provide that touch once in a while so as to keep a better stand on the airwaves chart. Recently we had a rise in urban music programs on various radio stations with different skillful presenters. Galaxy fm was one of the stations that kept the game locked down with yagwa top 15 chart which used to be hosted by the one and only true Son of Africa Vj Scarpper.

Just a few weeks ago Scarpper surprised many when he updated a status on his facebook page that he no longer works with Galaxy fm, that meant the death of yagwa top 15 chart. Or is there anyone else who`s taken over from him? I bet not, because by now we could have seen that same program rolling like it used to.

In an exclusive interview with topview updates Scarpper revealed that he now works with Dziko fm, and that he has introduced a new program there dubbed 20 stars urban chart. To him bringing out new stuff is all that matters when it comes to staying on top of the entertainment pillar. His life was meant for entertainment and he says he feel so blessed to be one of the rare guys who can keep a smile on someone`s face out there.

The main purpose of introducing this program was to keep his works alive and much more better, he says its an upgrade of yagwa top 15 chart. As much as it is an upgrade of yagwa, he made it clear that its going to be double the maturity, double the effectiveness and double the competition.

"I resigned from Galaxy and joined Dziko, in doing so i had to replace my yagwa with something more than that, something that people will be entertained with more than they`ve ever been. Am not gonna stop doing what i do till i see that urban music in Malawi is at a place it`s supposed to be" said Scarpper.

"The program starts at 2pm to 3pm every Sunday and there will be live one on one interviews and freestyles so you can imagine how better it is than yagwa. Fans should follow the page "20stars urban chart with vjscarpper" on facebook because thats where the voting will be done and they can have access to more information there" he added.

Dziko fm is here to stay, these guys are not just testing the airwaves. With this program artists will be awarded every now and then and it will not just be a baby`s cut but rather they should expect a better cut. In every two months the presenter/producer will be releasing riddims and artists will have to compete based on them. Dziko T shirts will also be given out to winners.

The program is for every artist out there, whether upcoming or veteran the game is for everybody. We have seen some upcoming artists doing better than veteran artists in many ways so this one is another platform where we are to see who`s real and who`s not. For artist to have their songs featured on the program they have to send them to djscarpper@ymail.com. For more information on the program you can whatsapp scarpper on +265993986288. Note: the whatsapp line is not for music submission, it`s only for queries.

Dziko fm is for now broadcasting in the central region only, but for those who have GOTV they can access this station without any problem. Soon enough the station will be available all across the nation, that is around April end and early May. The frequency is 104.3fm, please try to listen to the station..... and the program as well. You wont regret your choice.
