Rapper from Tanzania feels blessed working with stars from Malawi, Ghana and South Africa

Tanzania is one of Africa`s cream when it comes to hiphop, though most of the songs are in Swahili still you can see greatness in them. The rappers are so unique and surely they deserve a little bit of recognition because they do the best they can to keep their identity intact. Its rare to find a rapper spitting his full time game in English, just a few of them  keeps up with that and one of the creams who can spit his game in both Swahili and English is Arusha`s own Blouder Montana MC.

Blouder can simply be nicknamed Arusha`s cream de la cream, he gives his best shots when he goes into the booth. When he drops a tune everybody who gets to listen to his songs always nods their heads in appreciation of a young gifted African son. To him music is just what makes sense other than doing stupid activities which by the end of the day will end up wasting his life.

Blouder started rapping when he was in primary school and gives all his credit to his brother Lizzo Jay who inspired him and gave him his much needed support. His journey didnt have a smooth take off as there were a bunch of challenges that stood firmly in his way trying to bring him down but fortunately he made it. Challenges are what makes a man stronger and by being stronger you are assured of doing your very best whenever you give a shot. Just imagine he used to drop accapella rap songs which by then wasnt loved by many of his fans. The accapella songs made it hard for him to be recognized because people wanted something they can move a muscle with, a song with a cool beat. Now he feels much better because all that is dead and gone, what matters most now is that fans all over Africa are enjoying his music.

The star now can sit back, relax and feel a wonderful breeze knowing he is too blessed to be stressed. Nothing can stop his shine now as he is far much beyond borders. Working with one of  Malawi`s best producer Bigue Map has been a dream come true to blouder. He also points out Ghana`s Lucci Mo, South Africa`s C-Less, Ceejay from Zambia as one of the biggest thing he`s done in his music career. Together with Bigue Map(Malawi),Lucci Mo(Ghana),C less (South Africa),Ceejay(Zambia)T Boz(South Africa),Rubrix(Malawi) they formed a clique known as African Unity and says many projects will arise from then and they are ready to take Africa by surprise as they are planning big enough.

Click here to download promise a track he did with C-Less from south Africa, its a cool love tune and everybody out there will love it. The remix to this tune which features Ghana`s Lucci Mo will be out soon. It was sampled from Bigue Map`s loyalty riddim.

https://m.ak.fbcdn.net/sphotos-h.ak/hphotos-ak-xpa1/v/t34.0-12/10947334_788657811221408_788117954332599603_n.jpg?oh=4672fc34ddd1750ba238ff671718f2f7&oe=54CD0812&__gda__=1422713400_3cbd504c80513544f3e87f6e55f4e7c8

Hiphop is mostly known by violence and something like that, rappers are one type of human beings in music you just cant predict their next move. One day they act like this the next they are on another chapter. Malawi has recently seen a massive rise in the hiphop culture and many artists have emerged out of the blue making you wonder how  they happen to push themselves up like that. Eddie Kay is one of Malawian rappers and his name with no doubt is known around the country.

Born Edson Munkhondya well known by stage name Eddie-Kay or L City Boy the rapper is based in Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi and he is the founder of L City Boy Muzik  label. The artist has Celebrity album which was produced by BFB under L City Boy Muzik, while he was  at Katoto Secondary in Mzuzu city. By then he was well known in hip hop rap battles, freestyles and the story got even better when he won a competition beating 30 rappers on the line. Later he began  writing songs and was introduced to DAJ Studios in Mzuzu with his fellow rapper Big Paul Kalimandanda where he recorded his first single tittled " Lifestyle" which was produced by Danny. Continuously he become famous among many youths in the city and his friends at school nicknamed him "L CityBoy" because he was coming from Lilongwe and used to brag about it.

In 2010 he permanently moved to the capital city where continued recording his Celebrity album with Snowky Smoke at Mwai K Studios,Dj Sley and many other producers in the city. He has made collaborations with artists like Real C, Big Ta, Synik, Spark Krayzie, Native Carter, Mr Fireman, Big Paul and he has shared the stage with the likes of K- man (Mzuzu hip hop artist) Mabilinganya Empire, Gwamba, Third Eye, Tay Grin, Young Kay, Phyzix, Fredokiss and many more. After experiencing alot in hiphop  Eddie-Kay believes to be next Malawi Hip Hop King as he honoured himself in the song L CITY KING ( LILONGWE CITY KING ) produced by AKA.  Click here OR here to download his music.

In an interview with topview updates Eddie Kay said mostly he chose hiphop out of all music genres because he grew up listening to the likes of 50 Cent, The Game, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Dr Dre but 50 Cent inspired him the most to start rapping and freestyling.
"I was born in and with hip hop so when I was child I used to listen to music from other artists like 50 Cent, Eminem, Game, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and among these artists 50 cent inspired and still inspires me in the game. I remember my childhood days me and my friends were recording some tracks using old tapes and a cassete recorder then something kept telling me that one day Malawi will see a big star in me" said Eddie.

In Malawi Eddie hailed Tay Grin for sticking to promoting our culture with his music, he said he likes what Tay is doing and hope that other artists learn from him to uplift Malawian hiphop and that they must resist copy and paste as its not going to get them any higher. On the music industry`s status, Eddie says he really can see some changes, positive changes that is. He said looking at the production equipments used by almost every good producer gives him hope that music is going to stay alive for quiet a long time.

As a gangster rapper, Eddie threw out a few punches to a bunch of rappers in Malawi saying they are trying to kill his first love... hiphop. He acted very rude on this and he said he gets very disappointed when he sees someone trying to rap, not because they can rap but because their fellows are doing the same thing. To him thats not being original, its being stupid as it gives a bad image on what Malawian rappers can do. He said not all are junk so everyone junk in the game should just leave the game quietly to avoid embarrassment.

"Let my fellow rappers hear this, I don't give a fuck am just a gangster rapper, still underground but most respected, most famous in the game and I don't think they are better than me on the mic. If someone challenges me let them come to the studio and battle me, I don't care if the mc is famous or not. I remember in 2013 I killed a track titled L CITY KING which was a warning to pompous rappers with whack flows like that of Young Thug. An example of the rappers i aimed at is from Mzuzu city who is way too much pompous but his songs never cross the borders. Even if he shoots a thousand videos, fans in Lilongwe will never recognize him as an mc.Mainly the track was letting hip hop fans know that am holding Malawi hiphop music as L City King ( Lilongwe City King )" said Eddie with a sharp and strong emotion.

To promoters, DJs and producers he said they must take serious measures on music especially in production because nowadays Malawians like quality music and would like to request  all DJs in the country to promote our own music rather than foreign music. He wondered why 99% of music played on radio stations is from outside the country when we have the very best of music all over the nation from much talented Malawians. Finally Eddie urges his fans to continue supporting him and thanked them for the support they have been giving him since the dawn of his career.

"People can pre-order my "CELEBRITY ALBUM" on waptrick  and should expect my upcoming CELEBRITY 2 LP which will be coming out before they even know it..... umma keep it gangster for them. Umma give them what they want, what they need to hear. Am the real deal not these common fakes spoiling and killing my beloved m-dubz music. I hate to see that... these kids need to grow up!!! The game cant be in their hands if they be rapping junk like that. Keep it Topview

Mr Fireman, one of Malawi`s rare dancehall species

Malawi got dancehall artist all across the nation, but most of them got the same style as if they all got it from one teacher. A few artists have seen themselves rise with their own type of this genre, take the late Mafunyeta, the late Vic Marley and Nepman for example. These dudes with their own kind of spitting words made a difference to the taste of Malawian dancehall.

Mr Fireman, an artist cum producer at Massive Records in Mzuzu is also taking his own course in the dancehall corners. He has a taste of his own, a taste that is so different from the rest. When you listen to his songs you really can feel something new in your ears, something so unique because you are quiet sure that you will never hear such a touch from some other artist.

In an exclusive interview with Topview Updates Fireman said he loves the fact that there is no other artist in Malawi who puts down words as he does on the microphone. To him being different from other common tastes is so important and enjoyable. He says its a golden skill to bring out a different taste while others cling to one other taste.

Fireman had a passion for music ever since he was young, recorded his first track in 2003 at Tluso Studios in Mzuzu with Bright Chiwaya and ever since his musical journey as been as smooth as butter with him. He doesnt believe in copy and paste but rather doing one own thing that will conquer peoples attention and support.

With his own studio Massive Records, its easy for him to drop any kind of track at any point of time, right now he has almost 100 tracks recorded. Now youth in his ghetto are dropping a great deal of dancehall music after being motivated by him. Motivation to him is one of the keys that can get you as far as possible and he is proud to say that he got motivated much by Blackface Family by the way they killed their music and how they held the stage.

Asked on what inspires him to write music Mr Fireman said love is all that inspires him the most, he said almost everyone likes to listen to a song that has much love in it. Among his many songs Fireman has worked with many artists like Pampene Alliance, Cliffdaddy, Native Carter, Eddie Kay, Easy Master, Striga, De Tygal and many more.

He urges all his fans to keep up the massive support they give him, he also says that everyone should expect something big from him this year.
